It will feature over sixty-six paintings and works on paper, highlighting both Exter's early experiments and her avant-garde contributions to theatrical art. The collection will include rare and significant works by the artist.

This solo show has been made possible through collaboration between Ukrainian and American museums, as well as international private collectors. The Ukrainian Museum in New York will also release a special publication dedicated to Alexandra Exter's work as part of the project.

Alexandra Exter (1882–1949) was a Ukrainian avant-garde artist, scenographer, and educator. Dubbed the "avant-garde Amazon," she was one of the most prominent figures of the European avant-garde. Her work spans various media, including painting, graphics, book design, fashion, theater, and film, leaving a significant impact on global art. Exter made a substantial contribution to world art and had close ties with cultural circles in Kyiv, Odessa, Paris, and Venice.
