Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink will run for the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan, her home state.

She announced this on social media platform X.

Brink recalled that America helped Ukraine defend itself and regain half of the territory seized by Russia, supported the operation of the energy network, and the economy.

“Unfortunately, President Donald Trump continues to pressure our democratic ally, Ukraine, rather than the aggressor, Russia. Appeasing a dictator has never been and will never be the path to lasting peace. And that’s not who we are,” criticized the former ambassador about the current administration in Washington.

She also spoke about the growth in Michigan and her 30 years of public service under five U.S. presidents, both Democrats and Republicans. Additionally, Brink criticized Trump’s tariff policies and cuts to social program funding.

“My next mission: fighting for what’s right here at home. I’m running for MI07 because it's time to put Michigan families first and fight back,” declared the former diplomat.
