"Ukrainian sabotage groups" blew up six towers of high-voltage power lines in the Kurchatov district of the Kursk region, which led to violations in the technological process of the Kursk nuclear power plant." This was announced by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

According to the intelligence service, the incidents occurred on 4, 9 and 12 August.

Through the blown-up power lines, the nuclear power plant “supplies energy to industrial, transport, life support, social infrastructure and population, both in the region and neighboring regions of the country,” the FSB said.

Upon the explosion, the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under the article on a terrorist attack. The FSB is looking for criminals and their possible accomplices.
