On 16 June and during the night of 16–17 June 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck a number of military and logistical facilities of the Russian forces

In the Black Sea, a strike was carried out against the shadow fleet tanker FINA A (IMO 9283306). The vessel is subject to sanctions imposed by the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ukraine.

The target was successfully struck. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

The tanker had been used to transport crude oil and petroleum products in the interests of the russian federation while circumventing international sanctions and restrictions. The vessel is 244.6 metres long and has a gross tonnage of 62,002.

Ukrainian defenders also struck facilities used by the Russian troops to support military logistics and the movement of personnel and equipment between the occupied territories in southern Ukraine. In particular, a road bridge across the North Crimean Canal near the settlement of Stavky in Kherson region and a road bridge near Voinka were struck.

In the area of Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk region, a Russian command-and-observation post and a command post were struck.

Strikes were also carried out against the Russian UAV command and control posts in the areas of Kamianske and Novoprokopivka in Zaporizhzhia region, Ivanopillia and Komar in Donetsk region, Oleshky in Kherson region, Maliivka in Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Koroviakivka and Kucherov in Kursk region (russian federation).

The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to systematically degrade the Russian capability to conduct combat operations against Ukraine.
