The Ukrainian forces on the Kherson direction are holding a foothold on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River and are attempting to expand it despite numerous enemy attacks and assaults.
This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the military command, it was noted that in the area of responsibility of the Joint Forces Operation "Odesa" on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers "continue measures to expand the foothold."
"Despite significant losses, the enemy does not abandon attempts to dislodge our units from the occupied positions," stated the morning briefing.
The General Staff revealed that over the past day, Russian invaders conducted 13 storming actions on the positions of the Defense Forces. All of them were unsuccessful, and the opponent received a "worthy rebuff and retreated."
"At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue active actions, causing losses to the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line," military officials added.
