Yesterday's meeting of the UN Security Council, where the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant occupied by the russian military was discussed, confirmed the importance of international solidarity in confronting russia, which seeks to change the world order.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"I am grateful to the member countries of the UN Security Council, to all those who supported Ukraine in the effort to return the sovereign right to the ZNPP, for the fact that russia's next plan - this time regarding the legitimization of its troops at the Ukrainian nuclear plant – has failed," he emphasized.

German Galushchenko stressed that the vast majority of the participants of the event perfectly understood the price of russian "cynical statements and shameless manipulation."

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine expressed hope that the russian representative's contempt for common sense and superior attitude towards the members of the UN Security Council having been demonstrated at the meeting would be a driver for a faster decision on the joint mission of the IAEA and the UN to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant for its de-occupation and ensuring the world's nuclear security.
