Grain Initiative: The 17th vessel chartered by the UN World Food Programme leaves the ports of Ukraine

The DENIZ M bulk carrier will deliver 30,000 tonnes of humanitarian wheat to Ethiopia. Under the auspices of the WFP, more than half a million tonnes of Ukrainian wheat have already been delivered to needy countries in Africa and Asia. 

Today, 3 vessels with 112,400 tonnes of agricultural products for Africa and Asia have departed from the ports of Odessa region.

Among them are the bulk carrier BC CALLISTO with 30,500 tonnes of wheat, which is heading to Algeria and the bulk carrier IOANNIS THEO, which will deliver 52,000 tonnes of wheat to Vietnam.

Four vessels are en route to the destination countries along the grain corridor with 122,000 tonnes of agricultural products.

Since August 1, 833 vessels have left the ports of Odessa region, exporting 25.3 million tonnes of Ukrainian food to Asia, Europe and Africa.
