In December 2020, educational content (physics, mathematics and chemistry) in Ukraine was watched 50% more actively than in 2019. The interest of viewers to local travel content has also grown. Views of trekking and rafting videos have increased by over 80%.

There has also been a significant increase in the popularity of fish farming content. Watching time for such videos increased by 50% in December 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.

Over the past year, the number of Ukrainian channels from 100,000 subscribers has grown by 35%, and from 1 million or more - by 45%. On average, Ukrainian users spend more than 55 minutes on YouTube every day.

Over the past three months, more than 1 billion users around the world have watched Ukrainian YouTube channels. Among the most popular languages ​​(except Ukrainian and Russian):

  • English;
  • Spanish;
  • Hindi;
  • Arab.

Among the successful examples are Lady Diana channels. They host youth entertainment content in different languages. Most Popular:

  • in Spanish Hola Amigos - 5.7 million subscribers and 2.6 billion views;
  • in Hindi Diana Series - 1.4 million subscribers and over 500 million views.

Educational channels are also popular:

  • English-language channel Ridddle - 3.78 million subscribers and over 450 million views;
  • English and German versions of the SlivkiShow channel.

Also, foreign audiences are interested in content that does not require translation. For example, cartoon channels Booba (over 2 billion views) and VexTrex (over 4.5 billion).

Also, unique author's content is gaining popularity. Examples include crochet crochet from Crochet.ElenaRugalStudio (730,000 subscribers) or the Cubastic speedcube channel (650,000 subscribers) in English.

2 billion users log into their YouTube accounts every month. 80% of content views come from countries outside the United States. Due to the pandemic, video views of home workouts (up 340%), meditation (up 35%) and cooking (up 45%) have increased.
