The London Lane Gallery presented a solo exhibition by Ukrainian multidisciplinary artist Masha Reva titled Chapter 1.1: I am the garden you are no longer looking after. The exhibition features the artist's latest series created between 2022 and 2024, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures. The series showcases Masha Reva's distinctive artistic language: her abstract and surreal compositions, vibrant colors, and dynamic energy.

The artist finds her main source of inspiration in vivid dreams she experiences, where images and encounters intertwine to form narratives for her artistic works. Especially in recent years, amidst the chaos of her war-torn homeland, these dreams have become her sanctuary, where she can retreat from the harsh reality of the surrounding world.

Masha explains:

"Despite the cruelty of the present reality, strength can be found in the state of dreaming; my dream world gives me hope, energy, and food for thought every time a new version of myself wakes up. There hasn't been a night in my life when I haven't dreamt."

The exhibition titled "Chapter 1.1: I am the garden you are no longer looking after" truly originated from Masha Reva's dream several years ago. In her dream, Masha heard a line of poetry that deeply inspired her. The poem prompted the artist to imagine a surreal garden where people take on the forms of botanical creatures. This unique garden not only serves as a mirror reflecting the inner world of humans but also serves as a portal to the boundless realm of creativity.

Therefore, the series "I am the garden you are no longer looking after" marks the beginning of Masha's exploration of this concept, with plans to further develop it in the future.

As mentioned, Reva works in various artistic realms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, as well as performance and design. She experiments with different forms of art, leading to an eclectic list of creative projects and initiatives throughout her artistic career.
