The private military company "Wagner", which belongs to Yevgeny Prigozhin, is losing more and more mercenaries in the war in Ukraine every day. With such a rate of liquidation of the invaders, the personnel of the "Wagnerites" will last for several weeks.
Russian opposition journalist Igor Yakovenko stated this on the air of Channel 24. According to him, now Prigozhin is liquidating the "golden fund" of PMC Wagner, which remained until a certain time. All this is done to capture the Ukrainian fortress of Bakhmut to show at least some achievement to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"If he continues to move at such a pace, then his staff will last another two weeks," the journalist predicts.
Yakovenko noted that after that, Putin would allow Prigozhin to recruit new mercenaries into PMCs, but these people would be unsuitable for war.
"The value for Putin of PMC" Wagner "was that there were people with experience. They fought in the Donbas in 2014, in Syria and Africa. But these people will soon be gone," Yakovenko said.
