The highest volume of Ukraine's exports in 2021 was shown in the trade with products of metallurgy and agricultural sector, while the majority of domestic industries show a significant increase compared to 2020.
According to the results of the year, the volume of exports of base metals and their products amounted to USD 15.98 billion, which is by 77% more than in 2020, and products of plant origin â USD 15.55 billion or exceeding by 30.9% the showings of 2020.
The top five in terms of exports also include mineral products (USD 8.42 billion, an increase of 58%), fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin (USD 7.05 billion, an increase of 22.6%), and also mechanical, electrical equipment, machinery and mechanisms (USD 4.82 billion, by 7.4% more than in the previous period).
Good results were shown by domestic exporters of ready-made food products (USD 3.8 billion, an increase of 13.1%), chemical products and related industries (USD 2.76 billion, an increase of 36.7%), wood and wood products (USD 2.01 billion, up by 42.6% against the showings of 2020).
Our key objective is to open as many foreign markets as possible to Ukrainian producers. We are planning at least 40 in 2022. It is important to lift restrictions and deepen our presence where we are working, to stimulate double-digit trade growth.

As a reminder, the volume of export of the goods from Ukraine for 2021 makes up USD 68.24 billion. This figure is the highest since 2012. Ukraine had demonstrated figures of this level back in 2011 (USD 68.39 billion) and in 2012 (USD 68.81 billion).
