In August 2025, Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out 17 strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, according to the commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi (Madjar), on his Telegram channel.
Coordinated with other components of the Armed Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck nine oil refineries across various regions of Russia.
Key targets hit included the Ryazan, Saratov, Volgograd, Syzran, Kuibyshev, Krasnodar, and Afipsky refineries. Additionally, two Transneft-Druzhba pumping stations and two fuel depots were struck.
August 2025 became one of the most effective months in Ukraine’s campaign to destroy Russia’s critical fuel infrastructure.
