The growth of consumer prices in Ukraine accelerated to 1.5% in March 2023 from 0.7% in February. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service.
Core inflation rose to 1.5% last month from 0.5% in February and 0.7% in January.
At the same time, in annual terms, core inflation, according to the results of March, decreased to 20.1% from 22.7%, according to the results of February.
According to the State Statistics Service, on the consumer market in March, the prices of food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 2.2%. Vegetables rose in price the most (by 17.3%).
At the same time, prices for eggs, soft drinks, meat and meat products, bread, pasta, milk and dairy products, butter, sugar, fruit, fish, and fish products increased by 1.8-0.4%.
Rice, processed grain products, sunflower oil, and lard fell in price by 2.3-0.2%.
Clothes and shoes increased in price by 12.5%, incl. clothes - by 12.5%, shoes - by 12.4%.
"The increase in prices in the health care field by 0.6% occurred due to the increase in outpatient service prices by 0.8%. Transport prices decreased by 0.9% due to a 3.0% decrease in the price of fuel and lubricants. At the same time, the price of travel in railway passenger transport rose by 5.3%," the State Statistics Service added.
