On the territory of Romania, opposite the Ukrainian city of Izmail, fragments of the Shahed strike drone were once again discovered on Tuesday, September 24.

This was reported by the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, military personnel were conducting an examination of the area in search of possible drone fragments that may have fallen there in recent weeks during Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian ports along the Danube.

On September 24, specialists surveyed the area around the village of Plauru in Tulcea County, where reports of possible drone debris had been received. The fragments were retrieved and sent for further examination.

The Ministry noted that the findings are initially considered fragments of an Iranian Shahed drone, which Russia uses under the name Geran-2.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense once again condemned Russia's strikes on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and emphasized that these actions violate international law.
