Already, 20,000 Ukrainian recruits have undergone training as part of the multinational training operation "INTERFLEX," led by the United Kingdom, for the basic military preparation of personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the United Kingdom. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Britain continues to support Ukraine.
"Operation INTERFLEX provides Ukrainian recruits with the skills needed to become an effective and deadly force on the front lines against Russian aggression. The United Kingdom continues to support Ukraine," the General Staff notes.
As known, the training operation "INTERFLEX" was established by the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 2022 and is part of the UK's ongoing commitment to support Ukraine, totaling over 2.3 billion pounds sterling in military aid, including anti-tank weapons, armored vehicles, tanks, rocket artillery systems, artillery, and air defense.
The training takes place at the training bases of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom. The initial training course lasted for three weeks but was subsequently expanded and increased in duration to five weeks.
Earlier, the General Staff informed that during the implementation of the INTERFLEX training operation in 2023, involving the best instructors from the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Ukraine, it is planned to train approximately 20,000 Ukrainian military personnel.
According to the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom, in 2022, nearly 10,000 Ukrainian military personnel underwent training in the United Kingdom.
