In Ukraine, the retirement pension is granted upon reaching the required insurance tenure after the age of 60, 63, or 65. In 2024, to retire at the age of 60, a tenure of 31 years is necessary.

This information is based on the law "On Compulsory State Pension Insurance."

According to the law, eligibility for a retirement pension in 2024 is determined as follows:

At the age of 60: A minimum insurance tenure of 31 years is required.

At the age of 63: A minimum insurance tenure of 21 years is required.

At the age of 65: A minimum insurance tenure of 15 years is required.

As part of the pension reform in 2011, the required insurance tenure for retirement gradually increases. Starting from 2028, it will be 35 years.

Individuals who turn 60 in 2024 have the right to receive a retirement pension with a minimum insurance tenure of 31 years. The insurance tenure requirement is gradually increasing as per the pension reform.
