In Zaporizhzhia, an administrative building at an industrial site was destroyed in an attack, leaving 6 people injured

On the morning of Saturday, January 18, Russia launched a ballistic attack on Zaporizhzhia, causing destruction, damaging buildings, and injuring people.

This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (RMA).

"Two people were injured as a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia. The enemy struck the city center," Fedorov stated at 6:54 a.m.

He clarified that the attack partially destroyed the administrative building of an industrial facility. Residential buildings and private vehicles were also damaged.

 

 

Later, as of 7:26 a.m., the number of injured in Zaporizhzhia rose to six.

"One woman is in critical condition. Two other women and three men are in moderate condition. All the injured are in the hospital receiving necessary medical care," Fedorov noted.

He added that five ambulance teams were working at the site of the strikes. By approximately 8:30 a.m., the number of injured had increased to eight people.

 

 

Fedorov also summarized the situation over the past day, reporting that the Russian forces carried out 241 strikes across nine settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, specifically:

  • Two missile strikes targeted Zaporizhzhia.
  • 132 UAV attacks of various modifications struck Kamianske, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.
  • Two MLRS attacks hit Shcherbaky.
  • 105 artillery strikes affected Kamianske, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.

"There were nine reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure," Fedorov concluded.
