The database is a continuation of the Russian Aggression database, which contains data on the participation of the Russian military in hybrid aggression against Ukraine in 2014-2021.

The international intelligence community InformNapalm presented an interactive database of Russian units involved in a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

The base is divided by types of Russian military formations. In particular:

  • combined military formations
  • ground troops
  • missile and artillery forces
  • tank troops
  • airborne troops
  • the navy
  • aerospace forces
  • military intelligence
  • signal troops
  • troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection
  • engineering troops
  • parts of material and technical support
  • railway troops
  • Roshvardiya
  • "ersatz troops" (units of L/DPR terrorist groups).

The database was created with the help of an international community of volunteers. "Special thanks to Alex Alexidze, an InformNapalm volunteer from Sakartvelo," the InformNapalm press service wrote in Telegram.

For each unit, all known information found by InformNapalm volunteers in open sources is given. For example, the place of permanent deployment established personnel of the unit, media materials where the unit is mentioned, etc.
