Italian Opera in Odessa: "The Nights of Verdi and Puccini"

As part of the cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture, a unique concert, "The Night of Verdi and Puccini", will take place this Saturday, 9 October.


The Genoa International Music Youth Festival and the International Association of United Cultures, in collaboration with the National Opera and Ballet Theater of Odessa and with the support of the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute of Kyiv, have organised a concert dedicated to the Italian opera.

At the concert, there will be arias and duets from the most popular operas in the world, including: "The Force of Destiny" ("La Forza del Destino"), "Troubadour" ("Il Trovatore"), "Luisa Miller", "Nabucco", "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi and "Manon Lescaut", "La Bohème", "Madame Butterfly", "Sister Angelica" ("Suor Angelica") by Giacomo Puccini.

The concert will see the participation of Marta Mari (soprano), Giada Venturini (mezzo-soprano) and Alessandro Fantoni (tenor), who will be accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Odessa Opera House conducted by Maestro Lorenzo Tazzieri, Principal Conductor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Opera Foundation.
