Ukrainian singer JAMALA will perform in Doha, Qatar. Accompanied by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, she will present her album of Crimean Tatar songs, QIRIM. The concert is scheduled for November 7.

“The QIRIM album is a whole universe of music traveling to Qatar to shine alongside the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and soloists, in a place where our music has never been heard at this level. Without exaggeration, I call this true cultural diplomacy at the highest and most powerful level. For me, it is a great responsibility and a great honor,” JAMALA said.

The album QIRIM features 14 unique songs representing different regions or cities of the Crimean Peninsula, along with individual intros that together form its structure. The entire album is a distinctive journey through Crimea and its unique culture.

In 2024, JAMALA received the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine for this album. QIRIM was also named “Album of the Year” 2023 by the leading European publication Beehype and recognized as the Best Album of 2023 by several Ukrainian awards, including the YUNA Music Award. For two consecutive years, the album has been listed among the world’s best by World Music Charts Europe.

JAMALA is a Ukrainian singer and songwriter, winner of Eurovision 2016, laureate of Ukraine’s highest National Prize Taras Shevchenko 2024 for her contribution to music with the album QIRIM, recipient of the global WIBA award as one of the most influential female artists, ranked among the top 3 most popular artists worldwide according to Spotify Equal 2023, and a member of the Recording Academy jury.
