In the Kherson region, more than 206 kilometers of roads have been covered with anti-drone netting, with efforts focused on protecting the most vulnerable road sections between communities and within the regional capital.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, following a meeting with passenger transport operators on ensuring transportation safety amid intensified Russian drone attacks.

“Unfortunately, the enemy continues to target passenger transport with drones in both the city and the region. However, despite the danger, we cannot leave people without transportation services. Work on installing anti-drone protection along logistical routes in the Kherson region is ongoing. This systematic effort is producing tangible results — as of today, more than 206 kilometers of the region’s roads have already been covered with protective netting,” Prokudin wrote.

According to him, current efforts are focused on protecting the most vulnerable sections of local roads connecting communities, as well as roads within the regional center.

Prokudin also added that all drivers will be provided with additional personal protective equipment, as well as technical systems for detecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and monitoring drone threats.
