If the army of Belarus invades Ukraine, then diplomatic relations between the countries will be severed.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated this for Forbes.
âBelarus is an accomplice to the crime of aggression, no one questions this issue. We severed diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation immediately after the start of a large-scale attack. They will also be terminated with Belarus if the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus cross the border of Ukraine,â Kuleba said.
The minister also explained that Ukrainian grain could be exported through Belarus, but they wanted to avoid such a scenario to the end. Ukraine believed that alternatives could be found and, fortunately, they did.
âNo one wanted to have any dealings with Minsk, an accomplice of aggression, on any trade issues. But logisticians and private investors (traders in fact) did an excellent job of expanding the possibilities of land routes through the EU countries, progress was made in negotiations on the sea route, therefore, the option of a Belarusian emergency route is no longer on the agenda," Kuleba added.
