Kyiv-based data centre Omega Telecom has announced that it is shutting down following a massive Russian attack, while its specialists continue working to restore communications channels and internet access at backup sites.
“We have to acknowledge the fact that following a massive enemy attack, the Kyiv data centre Omega Telecom is ceasing operations. This is a difficult moment for us, but we are not stopping!” the company said on Facebook.
On September 27, Omega Telecom also reported that equipment at its main technical hub in Kyiv had been destroyed in a double Russian attack.
In early October, it was also reported that the Parkovyi data centre site in Kyiv had sustained critical damage in a series of Russian strikes and had completely ceased operations.
DC|COSMONOVA had previously also announced the shutdown of its data centre due to extensive damage.
Omega Telecom LLC was founded in 2012. Its main business is the provision of telecommunications services. The company’s telecommunications network covers more than 260 cities across Ukraine.
