During the war, the Russians have used every type of weapon against Ukraine except nuclear weapons and aircraft carriers.
This was stated by Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, in an interview with 24 Channel.
“Everything has been used here. The only things not used are aircraft carriers. But Russia’s only aircraft carrier is not combat-ready and is far from our operational area. Everything else has been used, except for weapons of mass destruction—nuclear weapons. Absolutely everything else has been employed: from submarines to strategic aviation,” Budanov said.
According to him, this war is not the bloodiest in terms of civilian casualties since World War II, but it is the largest and bloodiest in terms of the use of conventional weapons.
Regarding US President Donald Trump’s statements that hostilities in Ukraine should end as soon as possible, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate expressed hope that the White House leader is correct “and that all of this can somehow be resolved in the near future.”
