Latvia sent Ukraine helicopters and Stinger air defense systems

Minister of Defense of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece visited Ukraine.

Ukraine received another batch of military aid from Latvia. The new package contains Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, helicopters, machine guns with ammunition, and drones.

The day before, Latvian Defense Minister Ināra Mūrniece arrived in Ukraine to meet with her colleague, Oleksiy Reznikov, Delfi reports.

"During the conversation with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, I reaffirmed the unwavering support of the government and the people of Latvia to Ukraine in this terrible war. In the near future, we will send new batches of military support to Ukraine - Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, helicopters, machine guns with ammunition and unmanned aerial vehicles. Latvia will continue to train soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at various levels this year, it is planned to increase the intensity of training and teach at least twice as many Ukrainians, as we did in 2022," MÅ«rniece said after a working visit.
