Over the past 24 hours, from the morning of July 3 to the morning of July 4, 2026, several regions of Ukraine reported renewed strikes involving drones, guided aerial bombs, artillery, and missiles attributed to Russian forces.
In the Sumy region, local authorities described a particularly intense period of shelling, with nearly 45 strikes recorded across 16 settlements in 11 communities.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, five people were killed in strikes on the regional capital, including a 5-year-old child, while around 60 people were injured. Officials said the city of Sumy came under combined attacks involving guided aerial bombs (GABs) and drones, with dozens of civilians requiring medical assistance.
The regional police provided a slightly different toll, reporting four deaths, including a child, and 45 injured, among them nine children. Authorities noted that the discrepancies reflect ongoing verification of casualties. Residential buildings, warehouses, vehicles, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged across multiple communities, including Sumy, Romny, Okhtyrka, and Shostka districts. Evacuations from border communities were also carried out.

In the Kherson region, officials reported one death and 13 injuries over the past day.
The regional administration said Russian forces carried out artillery and drone strikes on Kherson city and more than 40 surrounding settlements. Infrastructure damage included residential buildings, a multi-story apartment block, private homes, a gas pipeline, and agricultural facilities.
Separately, two residents of the Komyshany area sought medical care after earlier shelling, with doctors diagnosing blast injuries, concussions, and acute stress reactions. They were treated on an outpatient basis.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, regional authorities reported two fatalities and at least 17 injured as a result of drone and aerial bomb attacks across four districts.
Infrastructure damage was recorded in several communities, including residential buildings, businesses, and transport facilities. In the Nikopol area, a gas station was hit, and one man was injured. Additional strikes in the Synelnykove district caused casualties, including critically injured residents receiving hospital treatment.
Authorities also updated earlier information, confirming additional fatalities linked to previous attacks.

In the Mykolaiv region, one civilian woman was reported killed following a missile strike, according to regional officials.
Earlier drone attacks damaged private homes and infrastructure in several communities, including a gas station. Later in the day, a missile strike—reported as an Iskander-M with a cluster warhead—hit a farming enterprise, causing the fatality.
Authorities in the Poltava region reported a drone strike on an industrial facility in the Poltava district early in the morning of July 4. No casualties were reported.
In the Chernihiv region, the Snovsk community came under repeated drone attacks throughout the day and night.
Regional officials said strikes damaged a fuel station, agricultural enterprises, warehouses, and vehicles. Several fires broke out but were later extinguished. No casualties were reported.
The Zaporizhzhia region remained one of the most heavily targeted areas. Regional authorities reported more than 1,100 recorded strikes over the day, including aviation bombs, drones, artillery, and multiple rocket systems. Two people were killed and at least 39 injured in attacks across Zaporizhzhia city and surrounding districts.
Hundreds of reports of damage were registered, including destroyed or damaged homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.
