Ukraine aims to transition to direct contracts with weapons manufacturers, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine following the meeting of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenko with representatives of the Australian company Electro Optic Systems (EOS).
"Ukraine continues to actively work on the modernization of its defense capabilities and expanding international cooperation. Moving to direct contracts with weapons manufacturers will reduce dependence on intermediaries and enhance our defense capability," said Klymenko during the meeting with Scott Hicks, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at EOS Defence Systems, and Mark Essig, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at EOS Defence Systems.
The meeting discussed cooperation in defense technologies and opportunities for interaction between Ukraine and EOS Defence Systems. Additionally, the Australian side expressed interest in localizing production in Ukraine.
EOS Defence Systems specializes in technologies that integrate weapon systems across a wide range of land and maritime platforms. Among the company's products are solutions for countering unmanned aerial vehicles and ground targets.
