The Government has made a decision to include two objects in the register of industrial parks in the Chernivtsi region - the Khotyn Invest and Energy Bukovyna parks." Enterprises located within the boundaries of the parks will engage in activities such as metalworking, light industry, food production, machine building, production of building materials."
Within these industrial sites, business will have access to the necessary infrastructure (energy, water and gas supply), logistics and labor resources.
In addition, the day before, the President of Ukraine signed two laws that provide for additional benefits for residents of industrial parks:
- exemption from import VAT and customs duties when importing new equipment;
- exemption from income tax for 10 years in case of activities within the IP;
- concessionary property tax rates and land charges from local authorities.
Such conditions will stimulate the creation of startups, as well as facilitate the relocation of enterprises from the zone of active hostilities to the territory of industrial parks.
In addition, the creation of such facilities is one of the important tools for overcoming the shortage of jobs. Thus, 1 hectare of park territory can provide 50 Ukrainians with work, while one medium-sized industrial park will create about 1,000 new jobs.
