As part of “Ukraine Month in the UAE,” renowned Ukrainian composer and pianist Yevhen Khmara and singer Odara will present the musical programme Under the Sky of Paris on the stage of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
The Ukrainian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates announced this on Facebook.
The artistic event, taking place on January 16, will combine contemporary Ukrainian original music with classic French chanson. The evening’s programme includes five original Ukrainian songs performed by singer and songwriter Odara, instrumental compositions by virtuoso Yevhen Khmara, and the French programme Under the Sky of Paris featuring works by legendary artists such as Édith Piaf, Joe Dassin, Dalida, Yves Montand, and ZAZ.
The concert will begin at 19:30. Guests wishing to attend must register in advance via the provided link.
The embassy noted that the concert aims to create a space for cultural dialogue and to showcase the Ukrainian music scene within an international academic environment.
