Hasidim continues to arrive in Uman, Cherkasy region, to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
According to the official report of the State Migration Service of the Cherkasy region, as of the morning of September 23, there were already 19,821 pilgrims in Uman.
According to the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, as of the morning of September 25, more than 23,000 pilgrims had already arrived.
The Rabbi Nachman Foundation and the authorities organized the pilgrimage, and law enforcement agencies ensured a high level of security.
Note that the Hasidim will celebrate Rosh Hashanah from 25 to 27 September. Despite the war, pilgrims arrive in Ukraine to celebrate the New Year according to the Jewish calendar in the Cherkasy region.
Recall, on September 5, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police recommended that Hasidic pilgrims refrain from visiting Ukraine this year to celebrate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah.
As reported by the representative of the International Charitable Foundation named after Rabbi Nachman, Irina Rybnitskaya, the Hasidim were warned about the danger, after which they registered, signing a document stating that they were informed about the situation in Ukraine.
