During the Defense Tech Era event held in Kyiv to mark the second anniversary of the Brave1 defense technology cluster, a marketplace for the military was presented. Brave1 Market already hosts over 1,000 innovative solutions and is set to accelerate their delivery to the battlefield.

This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development, and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

‘Brave1 Market will become the Amazon for the military, enabling units to purchase the technologies they need right now on the front lines. This will help solve the problem of spreading effective technologies, as the military often doesn't know about the tools already available on the market that could assist them in performing their tasks effectively,’ Fedorov said during the presentation.

Currently, over 1,000 innovative solutions are listed on the marketplace, including UAVs, ground robots, EW and REB systems, components, AI-based tools, software, and ammunition. To ensure the security of manufacturers, authorization through the Diia platform has been implemented for the public catalog. Particularly sensitive information is contained in a closed catalog, accessible only to verified servicemen via the ‘Delta’ system.

Already, Brave1 Market can significantly enhance the effectiveness of decentralized procurement with military unit funds, with both codified and uncodified products available for purchase.

To acquire a product, users must select it from the open catalog on the website or the closed catalog in the ‘Delta’ system, then contact the manufacturer to arrange a direct deal.

In the future, Brave1 Market will integrate with the eBal system, where combat units earn points for hitting enemy targets. With these points, units will be able to buy any products from the marketplace for their needs, in addition to centralized supply.

Furthermore, soon soldiers will be able to leave reviews for specific products, visible to other military personnel. This will ensure fair competition and contribute to the improvement of Ukrainian defense solutions overall.

As reported by Brave1 head Natalia Kushnerska, the defense technology cluster has developed an ecosystem of Ukrainian Defense Tech, which now unites over 1,500 innovative companies.

‘In two years, Brave1 has succeeded in building a whole ecosystem of Ukrainian defense tech, uniting more than 1,500 innovative companies. The cluster helped create entire technology markets: NPKs, short-range EW, interceptor drones, AI-based drones for targeting, fiber-optic drones. Brave1's new priority is to accelerate the deployment of these innovations on the battlefield, and Brave1 Market will help us with this,’ said the Brave1 director during the Defense Tech Era event marking the second anniversary of Brave1’s establishment.

She also mentioned that in its two years of operation, the cluster has granted over 540 grants worth a total of 2.2 billion UAH. The national budget for 2025 includes 2.9 billion UAH for defense tech grants. Among the priority areas identified by Brave1 are rockets, lasers, drone swarms, CRPA antennas, water drones, anti-Shahed and anti-KAB systems, moth drones, the Ukrainian Mavic, and guided munitions.

Brave1 was created on the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Strategic Industry, the Ministry of Economy, and the National Security and Defense Council on April 26, 2023.

The Brave1 Defense Tech Era event was held with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and gathered over 900 participants from the defense tech community, including government officials, top developers, investors, and representatives from the security and defense forces.
