The head of the Joint Press Center of the South Operational Command, Natalia Humeniuk, reported that energy facilities in the Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions came under attack by the Russians overnight. She stated this during the broadcast of the United News telethon.

"I want to note that not only the Air Force but also mobile fire groups are working on destroying aerial targets, particularly drones of the 'Shahed' type. This is one of the powerful components in combating these drones. All Defense Forces are involved in this work. In our zone of responsibility, in our direction, the Naval Forces also had accurate work today and shot down a drone in Mykolaiv regions. Similarly, drones were destroyed in Odessa and Kherson regions. However, the Russian forces directed a more powerful wave of its drones towards Dnipropetrovsk regions. In each of these regions, energy facilities were targeted. Unfortunately, debris from one of the downed drones damaged energy facilities in Kryvyi Rih. The fire there is already being localized, and rescue operations are ongoing. Fortunately, no one was injured, but firefighting continues because such facilities typically burn intensely," Humeniuk said.

She also informed that during today's attack, the Russians had a moment of rechecking the routes that had already been used after the massive missile-drone attack, which was quite a combined attack with various types of weapons.

"They used, in principle, quite classic routes, dispersing, as they usually do, drones in different directions to overload the air defense system, but we are already prepared for such work. The enemy is improving, seeking tactics, and we are not lagging behind. We are seeking ways to counteract as effectively as possible," noted Humeniuk.
