New rearrangements in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky made new appointments in the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the head of state replaced the commanders of the Joint Forces and the Airborne Assault Forces.

Thus, the president dismissed Serhiy Nayev from the position of Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yuriy Sodol was appointed to this post.

In addition, Zelensky replaced the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This position was held by Maxim Myrhorodskyi. The new commander became Ihor Skybiuk.

A new commander of the Territorial Defense Forces was also appointed. Ihor Plakhuta was appointed to this position.

Recall that this week President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Valeriy Zaluzhnyi from the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandr Syrskyi was appointed to replace him, previously he was the Commander of the Ground Forces.

In addition, Zelensky changed the leadership of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anatoliy Bargilyevich was appointed as the new chief.

Today it became known that Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk was appointed as the Commander of the Ground Forces. Previously, he served as the First Deputy Minister of Defense and was dismissed the day before.
