In 2025, the key focus for renewable energy sources in Ukraine will be the development of wind energy.

This was stated by Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko on the international exhibition-conference ReBuild Ukraine Construction and Energy in Warsaw.

"However, in terms of 'green' energy, we definitely intend to significantly increase wind generation next year. There are plans to build specific wind power facilities with a capacity of over 800 MW," the minister noted.

He added that there was considerable interest in wind energy from Ukraine's Western partners at the conference in Warsaw.

"In particular, we discussed this with our Norwegian colleagues, who are now considering a large project in Ukraine for 300 MW, specifically related to wind energy," Halushchenko emphasized.

He also highlighted the importance of solar energy.

"Regarding this issue, we expect that next year, programs for households will be actively launched. We are hopeful that people will install solar panels, as the state is creating this opportunity, and banks have joined forces to offer zero-interest loans for 10 years. This is just beginning, but I believe that next year, we will see completely different figures, and we will observe growth in this area," the minister stressed.

Nevertheless, he still considers the development of wind energy and the implementation of the planned projects in this sector to be the main focus for the upcoming year.
