Work on the installation of fortifications for the defense of Odessa is nearing completion around the city.
This was reported by the Southern Regional Directorate of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Odessa is being prepared for all-around defense! The construction of multi-kilometer anti-tank trenches and bunkers around the city is nearing completion, while barbed wire, ‘dragon’s teeth,’ and wire entanglements are being installed,” the statement said.
The military noted that this is “not bravado, but proactive work” intended to ensure that the Russian army does not even consider attempting to seize the region.
