Military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko decided to deliberately destroy his army so that Putin would not get it and be sent to Ukraine.
"Today, Lukashenko is doing everything possible to reduce the combat effectiveness of his own armed forces as much as possible. He specifically gives the Russian Federation all the resources, ammunition, and equipment. He spends the engine life of the equipment and the accumulated stocks for the armed forces: they shoot fuel and lubricants, ammunition at firing ranges, and food," Zhdanov said in the air.
The expert assured that Lukashenka does this of his own free will and not at the request of Putin.
"He repairs equipment and gives ammunition. Lukashenko allows recruits to wash out the mobilization resource of Belarus, who take Belarusians to the war against Ukraine as part of private companies," Zhdanov said.
"In the summer, the figure of 13,000 was announced in early August. They were met in one of the directions. Now, this figure can be multiplied by two. That is how many Belarusian conscripts went to Ukraine in a year. From the point of view of ideology, he gets rid of the thugs who want to fight. Lukashenko thus shows his loyalty to Putin and that he is ready to give his last shirt to him. But when it comes to the combat use of the armed forces of Belarus, he constantly says, "I need to conduct training and practice more," Zhdanov added.
