The Ukrainian counter-offensive in the Kharkiv region will slow down soon, and at some point it will stop altogether. It's unavoidable.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov expressed this opinion.

According to him, counter-offensive actions will be stopped because the army cannot constantly attack. Society must be ready for this.

Meanwhile, Zhdanov stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already done a great job of expanding the rear. Now it is necessary to gain a foothold in the de-occupied territory and organize a defense there, because the Russian Federation will definitely try to respond to the shameful defeat.

“Russia is gradually starting to recover from the shock. Now we are seeing attempts to gather some troops and try to launch a counterattack. Whether they can or not, we need to prepare for this,” Zhdanov said.

According to him, the reserve forces of Ukraine went on the offensive. Troops to keep the defense remained in position. Now the offensive forces must be withdrawn and regrouped, pulling the main combat-ready forces to the new front line.

There is another option for preparing for the second stage of the counter-offensive - the accumulation of forces. In such a case, offensive actions will drive the reserve forces to the peak point. Then they will retreat, and a new reserve will come after them.

“If we have such a wave - Hallelujah, we will move on. We need an operational pause to regroup if there is no such wave. I think that most likely, there will be an operational pause for regrouping. Moreover, we have cleared most of the Kharkiv region. I want to say that the success that we have achieved today is impressive. He is very impressive," Zhdanov said.
