The expert recalled the crossing of the Dnieper in 1943.
Forcing the Dnieper is not considered. According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, forcing a water obstacle is a rather complicated military operation.
Zhdanov spoke about this on the evening of November 11.
"If you cross the Dnieper in direct collision with the enemy, there will be huge losses because artillery, and fire weapons can prevent the crossing of the river," the expert noted.
Oleg Zhdanov recalled the Kyiv liberation operation in 1943 with the crossing of the Dnieper.
âThen Stalin said: âTo those who swim, give the Hero of the USSR.â But basically they were driven by order to cross the Dnieper. But now we can inflict fire damage on the left bank,â the expert said.
