In his opinion, the top of interaction with the Alliance is the status of a partner of enhanced opportunities.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that Ukraine is unlikely to be accepted into the North Atlantic Alliance.

He expressed this opinion on his YouTube channel.

Despite this, our country will receive the best technologies, including from NATO member countries, the expert believes.

“Look, NATO needs a country that will fight with Russia. This is Ukraine. We are really at war with it. And with our hands today, they are ahead of the future of Russia, its geopolitical status, its military power and everything else,” Zhdanov explained.

According to him, the top of Ukraine's interaction with the Alliance is the status of a partner of enhanced opportunities.

"Ukraine will be a Cerberus to contain the Russian military machine. And if we become a member of NATO, everything will return to normal. Again, NATO will oppose the Russian Federation. Otherwise, NATO will constantly poke Russia and say: "Wait, why are you threatening us if there is Ukraine nearby, which you cannot defeat? Therefore, go and think about how you can live with Ukraine, but you will never reach us. That's the main point. Article 5 of the NATO Charter should not be applied if we are an associated partner with enhanced capabilities," the expert noted.

Zhdanov also believes that after the war, one should expect an increase in the Ukrainian army to 400-450 thousand people or the creation of another army in reserve.
