Reserves will be mobilized for the defense of Avdiivka and Kupyansk. Additionally, troops and forces will be regrouped on these fronts to halt the enemy's advance.

This was reported by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Facebook.

The decision was made following the visit of the new Chief of Staff and Defense Minister Rustem Umiev to the Avdiivka and Kupyansk sectors.

Syrskyi noted that to reduce the offensive potential of the Russian army, Ukrainian forces will undergo regrouping, and reserves will be engaged.

"As a result of the work, operational decisions were made regarding the mobilization of reserves, combat systems, fire support, and the regrouping of troops and forces on these fronts, as well as the localization of enemy forces to reduce their offensive potential," he said.

Syrskyi also discussed combat support issues with commanders.

"Given the rapidly changing situation on the battlefield, I have delegated authority to commanders to make urgent decisions independently to preserve the lives of personnel," Syrskyi stated.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the occupiers on the Avdiivka and Kupyansk fronts are increasing their efforts, launching "meat-grinder assaults" with dozens and hundreds of soldiers and shelling the front-line territories. At the same time, the Defense Forces are inflicting losses on the enemy. On the Avdiivka front yesterday, Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 attacks by Russian forces.
