The Naftogaz Group is closely cooperating with local authorities to ensure a sustainable heating season and the rational use of energy resources. This was stated by Naftogaz head Oleksii Chernyshov during a meeting of the board of the Association of Ukrainian Cities as part of the XVIII Ukrainian Municipal Forum today, October 21, 2024, in Kyiv.
A sustainable heating season is a matter of national security for Ukraine. Naftogaz is working closely with local self-government bodies to promptly address problems ahead of winter.
"Each community must focus on energy efficiency, as this is not only a matter of saving energy resources and funds but also of energy independence," emphasized Oleksii Chernyshov.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting was the financial discipline of heating supply enterprises regarding the consumed resources.
"Timely payments for natural gas usage and the operation of gas distribution systems are, above all, a responsibility to the country. I am grateful to the heads of cities and regions for building reliable contractual relations and understanding on this issue,” noted the head of the Naftogaz Group.
