The Naftogaz Group is actively preparing for the upcoming winter by increasing gas production and storage, and adapting its infrastructure to operate in wartime conditions.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov.
"It is evident that the coming winter will be historically challenging for Ukraine in terms of energy supply, resources, and heating. The Naftogaz Group is actively preparing for the upcoming winter," said Chernyshov.
He noted that Ukrainians will be supplied with domestically produced gas during the winter, as the Group is currently producing 7% more gas compared to 2023. Chernyshov reminded that the price of gas for the public remains unchanged.
Furthermore, Chernyshov reported that gas stockpiling is progressing according to the approved plan, with stock volumes continuously increasing.
He also assured that Naftogaz is continuously adapting its infrastructure to the challenges posed by the full-scale invasion, conducting necessary repairs, and preparing for the future.
"Heat must be in homes. The necessary volume of gas will be provided to our consumers and district heating enterprises," Chernyshov added.
Additionally, he urged Ukrainians to check their gas equipment and pay attention to the energy efficiency of their homes.
