Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, stated that Russia is actively attempting to establish a new network of agents for internal division within Ukraine.
"Currently, all indications point to the fact that the Russian Federal Security Service is actively attempting to establish a new agent network, placing far-reaching hopes in it. In perspective, this involves deploying a political project oriented towards the remaining pro-Russian population, while simultaneously conducting information interventions aimed at destabilizing the internal situation in Ukraine. The signs of such activity include a sharp increase in various 'experts,' 'intelligence agents,' and other types of swindlers who promote the Russian agenda in the Russian language. Right now, they are loudly proclaiming the 'failure' of the counteroffensive, hinting at the necessity to revise the war's objectives (beyond the borders of 1991), providing advice on how to fight against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spreading false insights about 'conflicts' within the military and political leadership, and ultimately suggesting that negotiations with Russia are necessary," wrote Danilov on Facebook.
According to him, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are "closely monitoring signs of such hostile actions, identifying and stopping them."
"Thanks to the active work of Ukrainian law enforcement, we have carried out the most extensive cleanup of Russian agents in recent years. However, Russia will continue its efforts to grow new agents in the place of those removed," says the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
He urged Ukrainians to exercise "informational vigilance."
