Through the Black Sea corridor, which Ukraine opened 7 months ago, approximately 30 million tons of cargo have already been transported.
This was reported by the Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration of Ukraine - Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Domestic products are currently being exported to at least 38 countries worldwide. Moreover, from December to February, the volume of goods shipped from the ports of Odessa significantly increased.
"Caravans are formed for entry and exit on a daily basis. We're talking about several dozen vessels from the ports of Odessa. We can also talk about a significant increase in cargo turnover at the ports of the Danube cluster. In the last month alone, about 2 million tons of various goods were transshipped there," he noted.
According to Kubrakov, the Russians cannot stop our exports today and therefore is trying to destroy the port infrastructure. Since July 2023, Russian forces have used over 880 kamikaze drones and 170 missiles against Ukraine's port infrastructure.
Recall that earlier, the Ministry of Economy confirmed that the Unity Ship Insurance Programme, implemented by Marsh McLennan and Lloyd's of London in partnership with the government of Ukraine, has been expanded to cover all non-military cargo.
Under the programme, it will be possible to insure not only maritime transport of grain and other essential foodstuffs, but also vessels carrying ore, steel, as well as container shipments.
