Polish carriers continue to block the border with Ukraine on four fronts, causing a queue of over 3,000 trucks.
This was reported by Andriy Demchenko, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during a TV marathon.
According to him, approximately 3,300 trucks are waiting on the Polish side to enter Ukraine. The longest queue is near the "Shehyni" checkpoint, with around 1,200 trucks, and at the "Rava-Ruska" checkpoint, there are 850 trucks waiting. The movement is most challenging at the border crossings of "Yahodyn" and "Rava-Ruska."
"If we talk about specific categories of cargo, they are moving. These include humanitarian and other essential goods needed by Ukraine. But to say that they all have the opportunity to cross the border unhindered, I cannot," said Demchenko.
According to the spokesperson, the "Uhryniv" checkpoint continues to operate. In the past day, about 100 empty trucks entered Poland from Ukraine through this checkpoint, with around 270 trucks still waiting in line.
However, as Demchenko pointed out, opening another checkpoint for empty trucks did not alleviate the blockade imposed by Polish carriers on the border.
