Overnight, air defense forces shot down 40 out of 52 Russian drones

During the night of July 3 (starting at 9:30 p.m. on July 2), the Russian forces launched an attack using 52 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, as well as decoy drones of various models, from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.

As of 8:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces had neutralized 40  UAVs (Shahed and other types) over the eastern and southern regions of the country. Of these, 22 were shot down using firepower, while 18 were jammed or lost through electronic warfare (EW).

Hits from Russian strike drones were recorded in 7 locations, with wreckage from downed drones falling in one additional location.
