The Ukrainian Institute presents a study âPerception of Ukraine Abroad. The United Kingdomâ. February 15, 14:00 - 15:30.
The analytical document is a continuation of the complex project of the Ukrainian Institute for the study of perception of Ukraine. The project was launched in 2020 and covered seven countries.
The study was conducted in 2021. Its purpose is to:
- identify attitudes and expectations towards Ukraine, Ukrainian culture, and opportunities for cooperation with Ukraine in the United Kingdom;
- explore awareness of modern culture and cultural heritage of Ukraine;
- identify the most successful and popular formats of cultural diplomacy projects at the bilateral level.
Participants of the presentation:
- Melinda Simmons, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Ukraine;
- Emine Dzhaparova, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;
- Peter Pomerantsev, British journalist, television producer and writer;
- Hanna Shelest, Security Studies Program Director, the Foreign Policy Council 'Ukrainian Prism'
The presentation will be moderated by Volodymyr Sheiko, Director General of the Ukrainian Institute.
The research was carried out by the method of in-depth interviews among target audiences commissioned by the Ukrainian Institute to experts of the Foreign Policy Council 'Ukrainian Prism'.
Research reports will be published on the website of the Ukrainian Institute on the day of the presentation.
