The Polish IT service company ASEE Group has acquired Ukrainian developer Askep.net, which specializes in SaaS solutions for automating workflows in medical institutions. This information was shared with Forbes Ukraine by Taras Bachynskyi, co-founder of Mergewave Capital, who is facilitating the M&A deal.

This marks the first M&A transaction involving an international institutional buyer and a Ukrainian SaaS company since the onset of the full-scale invasion.

Askep.net serves over 500 medical institutions and 4.7 million individuals in Ukraine. The company sought a partner to assist with scaling into international markets.

"We decided to partner with ASEE because it is part of one of the largest IT groups in Europe," explained co-founder Nazar Holodzhun.

ASEE Group has more than 3,900 employees and is part of the publicly traded Asseco Group, which has a market capitalization of $1.4 billion.

The parties have not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.
