President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Eli Cohen who is on a visit to our country.
The two leaders discussed deepening bilateral cooperation in various areas. The Head of State spoke about the Ukrainian ten-step Peace Formula and invited Israel to take part in its implementation. In this context, the parties also discussed support for the Ukrainian initiative in the UN.
"Israel has always been our important partner in the Middle East. This is the first visit by a representative of your country since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. I hope that it will contribute to the deepening of our cooperation. We face similar challenges and threats," the President noted.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Israel for the humanitarian aid provided and raised the issue of the country's participation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. According to the Head of State, Ukraine could use Israeli experience in demining. The President also invited Israel to take part in the restoration of civilian infrastructure.
