At a meeting on August 8, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on ratification of the intergovernmental agreement on the construction of a bridge across the Dniester, which will become a key element of the Kyiv-Chisinau transport corridor. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Ukrainian exporters will have a convenient way to southeastern Europe and will increase the volume of exports of goods," the Head of Government noted.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of integrating Ukraine's markets into Europe in the context of export promotion. In particular, over 15,000 transit declarations have been issued in the NCTS system during the 10 months of the customs visa-free regime.
"The common transit regime minimizes administrative costs for businesses, speeds up the processing of customs declarations and facilitates more intensive movement of goods. The integration of Ukrainian customs into the European customs system is a direct path to transparency and reduction of opportunities for abuse," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Head of Government, in January-July 2023 alone, Ukraine exported more than 40 million tonnes of agricultural and food products, or almost 70% of exports for the whole of 2022: "This is extremely important for our economy and important for the world."
